Welcome!
It is with great pleasure that we invite you on behalf of the SGIEM to the 9th Austrian Swiss Metabolic Meeting (ASMM) which will be held in Zurich from Thursday to Friday, March 5-6, 2026.
The focus will be on: “Liver transplantation (LTX) in inherited metabolic disorders (IMD)”
The meeting programme is aimed at bringing together speakers from the fields of IMD, hepatology, surgery and nutrition to address topics such as:
- the impact of LTX on neurological outcome in IMD
- surgical aspects of LTX in IMD patients, organ allocation policies in AT and CH
- diet and quality of life in IMD patients after LTX
One session will feature case presentations from Austrian and Swiss IMD patients having undergone LTX, centered on their clinical outcome.
One session is planned for free communications (clinical, laboratory or basic science), related or not to the main topic of the meeting.
The preliminary program is already available on our conference website, the detailed program will follow after completion of the abstract review process, in February 2026.
The meeting will take place at the (new) University Children’s Hospital Zurich (KiSpi) – Research Center for the Child, August-Forel-Strasse 51, 8008 Zurich. The new Kispi can be reached in 25-30’ by tram from the main train station Zürich. The meeting will start on Thursday March 5th 13h50, ending on Friday, March 6th at approximately 13h00.
You also find the pre-meetings of the Swiss and Austrian Metabolic groups announced on the website.
